<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hier sind die bei uns ab sofort dauerlaufenden Proxmox-Server in ihrer Gesamtheit nebeneinander aufgeführt. Nicht aufgeführt ist der TR-Server, da dieser aufgrund von ausgeschlachteten Komponenten im Moment stillgelegt wurde und der Proxmox Backup Server, der weiterhin als Sicherungsziel von allen VM-Servern automatisiert genutzt wird.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Gegenüber dem ursprünglichen Setup wurden Datenträger getauscht: Nur noch SSDs von Samsung und Festplatten von WD. Das Bootlaufwerk in Form einer Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe wurde von 1 TB auf 500 GB verkleinert (diese wurde anderweitig eher benötigt).</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wenn man ausgeschlachtete Komponenten nur in Kisten und Regale packt, hat man überhaupt nichts davon. Daher gibt es diesen &#8222;Gast-PC&#8220;, der fast ausschließlich aus übrigen Teilen gebaut wurde und bei LAN-Spielen als Gastcomputer fungiert. Dabei sieht dieser noch recht gut aus wenn man die Umstände bedenkt.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Der Prozessorkühler ist ein Frankenstein-Gebastel aus einem Scythe Mugen 4 der ursprünglich jahrelang in einem AM3+-System gewerkelt hat. Dieser wurde mit modifiziertem LGA 1151 Befestigungsmaterial von BeQuiet auf der CPU und an dem Mainboard befestigt. Die 120 mm PWM Lüfter sind von Arctic und waren nach dem Defekt einer AiO-Wasserkühlung übrig. Diese sind mit dickem Draht (gebogen um Spannung zu erzeugen) an dem Kühlturm befestigt.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dafür das die Kühllösung so ist wie sie ist, ist es eigentlich ein Wunder das die sehr hitzköpfige CPU mit &#8222;Multi-Core-Enhancement&#8220; also einem All-Core-Boost entsprechend dem Single-Core-Boost (5.00 GHz) mit allen Einstellungen auf &#8222;Auto&#8220; stabil läuft. Das entspricht ungefähr einem i9-9900KS, mit qualitativ schlechterem Silizium bei höherer Spannung eben. Ziemlich heiß (Um die 90 °C im CB23) läuft das Ganze natürlich schon.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dieser überhaupt nicht übertrieben ausgestattete und auch wirklich nicht total schwere Tower-PC hat keinen festen Anwendungszweck. Am Besten kann dieser Proteine falten (Folding@Home) und Strom verbrauchen bzw. den Raum heizen.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Die Workstation meiner Partnerin. Diese ist im Prinzip die erste Version meiner aktuellen Workstation, mit sehr vielen Ähnlichkeiten. Wichtig ist hier die allgemeine Rechenleistung. Das Innenleben wurde auf den Kopf gedreht eingebaut, damit man jeweils links und rechts an unserem gemeinsamen Schreibtisch ein Dark Base 900 Pro sinnvoll und ansehnlich stellen kann. Meine Workstation wurde &#8222;normal&#8220; gebaut, ist also für die rechte Seite gedacht.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meine alltägliche Workstation. Der Fokus wurde auf allgemeine Rechen- und Virtualisierungsleistung gelegt, daher die 870 Evo mit 4 TB Speicherkapazität für VMs, der leistungsstärkste Prozessor auf AM4 und der maximale RAM Ausbau. Gaming sollte natürlich auch annehmbar funktionieren &#8211; Wir spielen allerdings hauptsächlich ältere Titel, daher die mittlerweile deutlich gealterte Grafikkarte. Bisher &#8222;hats gereicht&#8220;.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nach einigen Änderungen über die Jahre ist der Server nun nahe am Limit ausgestattet. Da wird sich außer bei einem defekt vermutlich auch nichts mehr ändern &#8211; Die darauf installierten Windows Server Betriebssysteme samt zeittypischer Serversoftware laufen anständig. SSDs machen einfach einen riesigen Unterschied.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Generell ist der Server aufgrund der limitierten Anwendungszwecke und der Lautstärke eher selten in Betrieb.</p>
