Other possibilities:

The following components are original and will probably remain so for various reasons:

DVD driveOriginal, a second data drive such as a 2.5″ SSD or HDD would be possible with a caddy.

Not necessary at the moment, but potentially a useful upgrade.
Wifi cardIntel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 AGN.
Dual band capable, what more could you want?

Probably cannot be replaced without BIOS modification (I haven’t tried it).
UMTS cardUnused, simply left installed.
ScreenOriginal 15″ HD+ WVA panel without webcam cabling, with 1600 x 900 at 117 ppi.

An upgrade to Full HD with optional “DreamColor” would be possible, but not desired or necessary for performance reasons.
