I never would have thought that FlexIO v2 and the “improper” use of the 10 GbE module – which is actually intended for other HP workstation models – would change the project so much.

It all started when I saw these mini PCs on sale, equipped with just a single RAM stick. Normally, that’s a disadvantage because the CPU doesn’t run in dual-channel mode. But for me, it was ideal – two 8 GB sticks would have been significantly worse in my situation, and that happens more often than you’d think.

Next is an overview of the four “energy-saving servers” we now operate instead of two.
